  • Brief comparison – Apple iPhone 12 Pro vs iPhone 11 Pro

Apple’s much anticipated October event was indeed worth waiting for. With its newly launched iPhones, this hugely popular phone manufacturer has notched up its game to another level. One model that stands out the most is the new iPhone 12 Pro 5G. However, this isn’t the first Pro phone from Apple. The iPhone 11 Pro was launched last year, and many will be wondering if it’s worth buying the new one. Here’s a brief comparison to help you decide.

    Display and design

The design of the iPhone 12 Pro is different and somewhat leans toward iPhone 4 in terms of looks. Its screen size is 6.1 inches as compared with the 5.8-inch screen of iPhone 11 Pro. But the sharpness and picture clarity is identical in both the phones. iPhone 12 Pro, apart from having a stainless steel frame as iPhone 11 Pro, has a new ceramic guard glass.

    Processor and battery

The iPhone 11 Pro has an Apple A13 Bionic processor, which isn’t slow whatsoever and works flawlessly. The new iPhone 12 Pro, on the other hand, has an A14 processor, which is perhaps the fastest of its generation. It was last seen in iPad Air 4 and works at lightning speed. According to the Apple website, iPhone 12 Pro will have up to 17 hours of video playback compared with 18 hours of video playback of 11 Pro. This can only be tested once the phone is out in the market.

    Camera

The iPhone 11 Pro set a new standard when it debuted with three 12-megapixel cameras. Now, the iPhone 12 Pro weaves a whole new story. It has the same triple cameras, but this one is armed with 4x optical zoom, Dolby Vision HDR video recording, which can go up to 60 fps, and a LiDar Scanner for night-mode portraits. This feature will autofocus much quickly in low light and ideal for people who are into phone photography.

    Network

iPhones are generally fast, and both iPhone 11 Pro and 12 Pro run on iOS 14. Tons of new features have come up with the software upgrade on both phones, including Face-ID, artificial intelligence, Animojis, and Memojis. However, the main thing that makes iPhone 12 Pro stand out is its 5G connectivity.

  • Preorder and trade-in deals of iPhone 12 Pro explained

The latest iPhone 12 Pro with 5G connectivity will be available to preorder from October 16. If you are a customer of Verizon, At&T, or T-Mobile, here are some crazy new deals and trade-ins that will help you save big while buying the iPhone 12 Pro.

    AT&T

The iPhone 12 Pro is priced at $999 for 128gb, but if you are a new or existing AT&T customer, you can get it at an installment of $6.64 per month. It is a 30-month installment plan, which can get you up to $800-bill credits if you trade-in your iPhone 8 in its working condition. If you own an older model, you can get up to $350 in bill credits (for iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 Plus). The catch here is you have to opt for its recent unlimited plans called Unlimited Starter, Unlimited Extra, or Unlimited Elite, which give you access to 5G connectivity.

    Verizon

Existing Verizon customers can get the iPhone 12 Pro at an installment of $23.29 per month for 24 months if they trade-in with “selected” phones. The catch here is that for the first 1-2 months, you have to pay $54.7 per month, and afterward you will receive $31.41-bill credits. You will also need to opt for the new premium data plans that offer unlimited 5G data. For new customers, the monthly installment goes down to $18.70 per month for 2 years, but the concept of paying extra for the first 1-2 months applies in this case too. If you wish to trade-in your iPhone 8 or 8 Plus, you will get $250 off. For higher models, the trade-in value goes up to $350-$500.

    T-Mobile and Sprint

You can buy the latest iPhone 12 Pro for as low as $499 if you are a customer of T-Mobile or Sprint. The monthly installment starts from $20.79 for 24 months with 0% APR. The catch here is that you have to trade-in with your iPhone 11 Pro Max, which should be in working condition. You get a 3% additional daily cash up-front in your Apple Card. If you opt for the “paying in full” option, you have to cough up the entire $999 up-front. It is only afterward that they will credit the trade-in amount. For lower models, the trade-in value is the same as that of Verizon and AT&T.

  • iPhone 12 mini versus iPhone 11 – Here’s how they compare

After keeping fans on the edge of their seats for weeks, Apple finally announced its latest series of iPhones in a virtual event on Tuesday. CEO Tim Cook revealed that the iPhone 12 will come in four models—the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. But how do these models compare to the iPhone 11? Here’s a definitive guide that pits the iPhone 12 mini against the iPhone 11 in terms of three key factors. Read on:

    Performance

The iPhone 12 mini packs some serious punch here, as it comes with the all-new A14 Bionic chip that delivers stunning speed. Gaming is an absolute delight and, according to Apple, you can expect an increase in processing by up to 50 percent. The chip is also home to a 16-core Neural Engine, which seamlessly handles heavy tasks. Compare this to the A13 Bionic chip and third‑generation Neural Engine in the iPhone 11, and it’s easy to pick a winner. That said, the A13 chip isn’t a drag, and delivers considerable performance as well.

    Design and display

Both the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 11 sport a smart, durable design. The former, though, has a few upgrades, such as the Ceramic Shield front cover. It increases the drop protection of the device fourfold, which is something the iPhone 11 can’t replicate. As far as the display is concerned, the iPhone mini has a 5.4-inch screen. The iPhone 11, on the other hand, has a 6.1‑inch screen, although its LCD display isn’t quite comparable with the much superior OLED display of the iPhone 12 mini.

    Camera

Despite being the smallest and least expensive of all the iPhone 12 models, the iPhone 12 mini has a brilliant camera system, which is the same as that of the iPhone 12. It has a 12-MP ƒ/1.6 aperture in Wide mode and ƒ/2.4 aperture in Ultra Wide mode. Unlike the iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 mini supports Night Mode on the Ultra Wide and front cameras as well, allowing convenience in low-light photography. The computational photography mechanisms further enhance the quality of photos on all iPhone 12 models.

  • 4 differences between the latest iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max

Apple’s most-awaited event of the year took place on 0ctober 13, wherein they unveiled four new iPhone 12 models—iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The entire iPhone 12 lineup is 5G-capable and powered by a new and efficient A14 Bionic chip. As always, the tech giant made sure that its 12 Pro models are packed with state-of-art-features that make one of the best-performing smartphones in the world.
If you’re planning to buy a pro model, you’re probably wondering about the difference between the two and whether it's worth spending the extra buck on the iPhone Pro Max. So, let’s discuss the differences between the new iPhone 12 Pro 5G and iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G.

    Display size

This is the most noticeable difference between the latest iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Although both use Apple's Super Retina XDR display, the 12 Pro features a 6.1” display with a 2532 x 1170 resolution, while the 12 Pro Max has a larger, 6.7” display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284. The display of the 12 Pro Max is the largest on any iPhone to date, and also, the resolution is the highest than all its previous models.

    Camera

At first glance, it is virtually impossible to distinguish between the cameras of these two new iPhones, as both have a three-lens camera system. But the major difference is that the main camera sensor in the iPhone 12 Pro Max is bigger than the one installed in the iPhone 12 Pro. The wide camera lens on the 12 Pro offers a 27-percent improved low-light performance, whereas it is 87 percent in the iPhone Pro Max. The difference is also observed in the telephoto lenses. The latest iPhone 12 Pro has an f/2.0 aperture, and the 12 Pro Max has an f/2.2 aperture, which results in a 1x higher optical zoom range than the 12 Pro.

    Battery

Although Apple didn’t discuss battery size directly, the specs on their website suggest that both are equipped with different battery sizes. The latest iPhone 12 Pro has an audio and video playback time of 65 hours and 17 hours respectively, whereas Pro Max has 80 hours and 20 hours. Also, since the Pro Max features a bigger display, we can expect to see a bigger battery on that model.

    Price

And finally, as everyone can guess, all these differences come at an additional cost. The iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G starts at $1,099, while you can get the base model of iPhone 12 Pro 5G for $999. Also, you can pre-order the latest iPhone 12 Pro on Friday, October 16th. The iPhone Pro Max will enter the market on November 13, 2020.
